The champion of Chess in slum, Oshodi under bridge edition, Fawaz has stated that the chess game has improved his thought process.
According to him, he experienced a change in his thought process as he took part in the game
He made the confession in an interview on Channels TV, share by Chess in slum convener, Tunde Onokoya on Twitter.

He said “I Left Ibadan at the age of 16, came to Lagos after my mother’s death. I moved in with my sister in Lagos but we always fight so i left and went to oshodi under bridge.
“I am 19-year-old now and I oves the game because it helps me think….
He also said “the chess game made him think” and think more about his life and what he wanted to do or become in the future.
