Peter Obi, presidential aspirant on the platform of Labour Party (LP) has congratulated Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, on his emergence and clinching of ticket as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for next year’s election.
Mr Obi, who deputised Mr Abubakar during the 2019 presidential which the both failed in their bid to oust President Muhammadu Buhari, described the Adamawa-born politician as his leader and brother in a tweet on Sunday.
While the PDP candidate popularly known as Atiku, won the ticket and will again bear the flag of the opposition party, the former governor is expected to challenge him using the LP.

“On behalf of my family, I sincerely congratulate my leader and dear elder brother, H.E @atiku, on his emergence as the 2023 presidential flag bearer of the @OfficialPDPNig,” Mr Obi tweeted Sunday afternoon. “I pray that the Almighty God who sees your goodness will continue to bless you now and always. -PO”
