The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has granted administrative bail to the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo.
According to the PUNCH, the EFCC released Oluomo around midnight Friday on the grounds that he returns on Monday with both the assembly clerk and the accountant.
“I have been given an administrative bail. I will go back to their office on Monday,” Oluomo said.

The speaker asked that the commission charge the assembly to court over the allegation.
Akewusolaf Blog learned that prior to the speaker’s detention on Thursday, the assembly filed complaints against the anti-graft organisation and its former deputy speaker, Oludare Kadiri.
An unnamed source in the state assembly told the PUNCH that Oluomo was detained so he could respond to inquiries on alleged financial mismanagement.
According to the EFCC source, the decision to arrest Oluomo came after he failed to honour numerous invitations from the anti-graft organisation.
