NFF Chairman set up panel for age-grade football

President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ibrahim Gusau, will on Thursday (today) inaugurate  a three-man panel of advisers for Nigeria’s age grade teams.

The inauguration holds at the NFF Secretariat in Abuja.

Members of the panel are Katsina State FA Chairman, Aminu Kurfi, sports marketing expert, Bukola Olopade and Abba Mukhtar.

The panel is saddled with the responsibility of coming up with preparations strategies for Nigeria’s age teams, including the U-17, U-20 and Olympic Eagles.

The immediate task ahead of the panel is the quest of the U-23 national team to qualify for the U-23 AFCON, which serves as qualifying tournament for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Nigeria will face Tanzania on Sunday in the first leg of the second round tie, with the return leg in Ibadan next week.

Meanwhile, the U-17 and U-20 men’s national teams have qualified for their respective continental competitions by winning each of their WAFU B tournaments.
