By Controversial Investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has revealed that her dad crowned the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi lll, who joined his ancestors on Saturday April 23rd, 2022.
Kemi stated that contrary to popular beliefs that it’s only a sitting governor who has the will to crowned a king, but her dad, Omololu Olunloyo crowned Adeyemi.
According to her, her dad was responsible for the Alaafin coronation in 1971.

She wrote while reacting to a post on Twitter on Monday:
“Who cropped the newspaper? My dad was responsible for the coronation and crowned him as Commissioner for local Govt and chieftaincy affairs. Those still arguing about only governors crowned kings. Olunloyo crowned Adeyemi. Adeyemi made Olunloyo Osi Balogun then Balogun of Oyo.”
