The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has appointed S Engr. Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo state, as its vice chairman.
The decision was reached by consensus during a closed-door meeting of the governors held in Abuja on Tuesday night.
Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the governor of Kwara state, was elected as the new Chairman of the NGF, succeeding Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the outgoing Governor of Sokoto State who had been acting as the chairman since last year.

The NGF is an umbrella body for all 36 state governors in Nigeria.
