By Former Governor Abdullah Ganduje’s aides on media, Salihu Tanko Yakasai also known as Dawisu has made his intention known to contest for the Kano state Governorship in the 2023 elections.
According to him, Dawisu disclosed he will be contesting on the platform of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).
Recall, Tanko was sacked on February, 27th, 2021, for criticizing President Muhammad Buhari and the All Progressive Congress (APC)

Taking to his Twitter handle on Tuesday, he revealed he will be contesting for the top seat in Kano state.
While promising his supporters that he will make an official statement on Friday, he shared photos of his interest of nomination form worth two million, five hundred thousand naira (N2,500,000) and other campaign posters.
